Adam Redmond and Kane Nelson, who both work for electrical and plumbing franchise the Laser Group, will be joining the 2014 Laser Group Postie Bike Challenge from Melbourne to the Gold Coast to raise money for beyondblue.
Between 25 and 30 employees on ex-postie bikes, as well as their support vehicles, will depart Melbourne at 7am.
The group will be sent off from Melbourne by beyondblue chairman, Jeff Kennett, before arriving in the Gold Coast on August 20, to attend the group's annual conference.
Mr Redmond said the idea came up at last year's conference.
He said they had collectively raised about $80,000 so far.
Mr Nelson said he knew a fellow employee who battled depression several years ago.
"It's pretty close to a lot of our hearts and a fantastic cause," he said.
He said all riders had to buy the ex-postie bikes themselves and fund-raise ahead of the trip.
"Every person who wanted to take part in the trip had to raise a minimum of $1000 each," he said.
