ALICE Bottomley's journey on reality television show X-Factor has ended.

The Castlemaine singer did not make it through to the top 13 after failing to win the public vote on Sunday night.

Instead, boy band Brothers3 kept their dream alive.

During her time on the show Bottomley visited New York and met singer John Legend.

"He's an incredible man and I've been listening to his music for years and years and when he came down the stairs I was super stoked," she said.

"He's an incredible producer, writer, singer and performer so it was amazing to sing in front of someone of that calibre."

Meanwhile, young singer Grace did not make it through to the final three on reality television show The Voice Kids.

Grace, who grew up in Sutton Grange and whose relatives live in Bendigo, was not chosen to proceed to the public vote round on Sunday night.
