Home court advantage for the first week of the play-offs looked assured.
However, two losses last weekend has put the Lady Braves under the pump to hold top spot.
The Lady Braves (16-7) play their final regular season match tonight against fourth-placed Kilsyth (14-8).
With second-placed Hobart (15-7) holding head-to-head advantage over Bendigo, the Lady Braves must finish one win clear to secure top spot.
Hobart plays east conference power Dandenong (19-2) on Saturday night and Frankston (14-7) in next week's final round.
Frankston would need to win all three of its remaining matches to knock the Lady Braves out of the top two.
The Lady Braves thrashed Kilsyth 79-62 in round 16.
The Lady Braves had six players score at least nine points that night and star guard Chantella Perera didn't play because of injury.
The Lady Braves' swarming defence troubled the Cobras that night, with Kilsyth committing 16 turnovers. Louella Tomlinson, who averages 18 points per game, is Kilsyth's potential match-winner.
The Lady Braves and Kilsyth clash starts at 6pm.
