THIRTY teachers from across the state descended on Weeroona College Bendigo to see a master in action on Thursday.
Educational expert Dr John Munro taught a class at the college to provide a practical demonstration of his theory on teaching literacy.
Principal Leanne Preece said four Weeroona College Bendigo teachers participated in the workshop, and found Dr Munro's techniques enlightening.
"He has highly reliable literacy strategies he uses and the teachers have really gotten into them," she said.
"They enjoyed seeing him use them. It was really good to see him in action."
She said students also provided positive feedback about Dr Munro's teaching finesse.
"I spoke to a number of students and they said they really liked his teaching style and they hoped more teachers would adopt his style," she said.
Ms Preece said the school was committed to improving literacy.
