Ms Gartside has been with the club for five years and is currently president.
She said she liked to give back to the community.
"I get satisfaction back," she said.
"I have made some good friends and I really enjoy it."
Ms Gartside said the club hosted many barbecue fundraisers and had delivered timber to people in need during winter this year.
She said the club raised funds for Ashleigh Hutchins in her quest to get to the World Dwarf Games in Michigan.
"We raise lots of money for the community and community projects," she said.
"We do lots of different things."
Ms Gartside said she is also a committee member of the Community Reference Group for the new Kangaroo Flat Aquatic Centre, which she is pleased about.
"Kangaroo Flat has well and truly outgrown the pool that is there now," she said.
Ms Gartside said she had been club president for two years and was "gobsmacked" when she was elected.
