A GROUP of 11 Bendigo women are calling for sponsorship for their cancer fundraising campaign.

Team Teal is raising money for the Weekend to End Women's Cancers and hopes to donate $50,000 to Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
On August 9, the group will host a 1920s Great Gatsby-themed ball, featuring a three-course meal, drinks, auctions and a raffle, as well as music from the Creepy Seals. But they still need a bit of help.
"We're still looking for major sponsors to support Team Teal. We've had a couple of local businesses come on board with cash donations, and we'll try to support them however we can," team captain Janelle Crouch said.
"The support we've had has been really humbling, but there's still a way to go. Any donation is welcome - lots of little amounts still add up to a big amount."
The ball is at 7pm on August 9 at Silks, Bendigo Jockey Club. Tickets are $100.
