On Monday I commenced in my new position as the Local Area Commander for the City of Greater Bendigo Police Service Area.
For the past six months I have been the Local Area Commander in Central Goldfields based at the Maryborough Police Station.
I have also performed Inspector roles at Western Region HQ in Geelong in the areas of Crime, Intelligence and Community Engagement.
Throughout my career I have worked in general duties, crime investigation, security intelligence and training positions.
I look forward to leading the uniform police members in Bendigo and our outlying 16-hour stations at Eaglehawk and Heathcote and eight- hour stations at Raywood, Elmore, Goornong and Axedale.
My focus will be on providing the best possible policing service to the community of Greater Bendigo.
I will be carrying on the excellent work that now Superintendent Brad Dixon has done over the past two years.
Some of the issues that we will tackle include property crime, family violence, road trauma, drug and alcohol related crimes and public order.
I am privileged to have under my command an excellent management team and police members who are dedicated and hard working.
I am also fortunate of the many community relationships that have been established and the support that our police receive.
