The Thunder have lost all nine of their games in their debut VWFL premier league season by at least 100 points and have been outscored 266 goals to four.
“It may not be reflected in the scores, but we believe we’re making progress as a group,” Jeffrey said on Thursday.
“Players such as Sarah Moerke, Sam Buchanan, Maddi White and Erin Hopkins continue to improve at a rapid rate in their first seasons of football.
“They have all beaten their individual opponents in games and we believe that will hold us in good stead going forward.”
The Thunder travel to Plenty on Sunday to take on second-placed Diamond Creek in round 12.
Sunday’s game starts at 2.15pm.
