THE Bendigo community is invited to celebrate cycling at an event on Thursday night.

The event is being hosted by Outside the Square and funded through the City of Greater Bendigo.

Pip Carol, the founder and creative director of Squeaky Wheel in Melbourne is a guest speaker.

"The Squeaky Wheel provides creative initiatives such as bicycle tours, training, valet parking, campaigns and programming to celebrate and promote bike riding.” says Karen Corr from Make a Change Australia and host of Outside the Square.

"Hearing about Pip’s experience at a community level is something we can all draw inspiration from as we explore how Bendigo can become a Cycling City."

The event is on at the Old Church on the Hill on July 31 at 7pm.

Entry is free. For more information and registration visit, www.makeachange.org.au/events/outside-the-square-cycling-cities
