The production opens on Thursday at the Well Being Centre at the college's Blakeley Road Campus and also runs this Friday and Saturday nights.
The production, Thirteen, tells the story of 13-year-old boy Evan Goldman from New York who is uprooted by his family and forced to move to a small mid-western town.
Evan must also deal with his parents impending divorce as well as his upcoming Bar Mitzvah.
Thomas Jones will take on the role of Evan while Suilven Byrne plays Thirteen's female lead Patrice.
"It focuses on his struggles with how to make friends and relate to change," media coordinator Ruth MacLaren said.
"It's something a lot of people and teenagers can relate to when they have a life change.

"There is a lot of music and singing as well as bright sets and marching girls."
Thirteen was originally produced in 2007 in Los Angeles.
Ms MacLaren said the students had arranged their own choerography and stage presentation as well as impressing in the performance side of the show.
"We did Oliver last year and The Wizard of Oz the year before that," Ms MacLaren said.
"This production is a bit smaller that last year but it is still a big effort to put it all together.
"It is a reallygood group of kids and a great production team."
Ms MacLaren said the drama department of the school had been growing.
"We are combined with the music program which is also strong," she said.
Castlemaine Secondary School's production of Thirteen premieres on Thursday at 7.30pm at the Blakeley Road Campus' Well Being Centre.
Shows are also on Friday and Saturday night.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children. To book tickets phone Castlemaine Secondary College on 5479 1111.
