Three Bendigo athletes have the opportunity to win medals.

Mountain bike rider Peta Mullens is a strong medal chance in the women's cross country event from 8.30pm (AEST).

Bendigo shooter Geoff Grenfell is in third place going into the final day of the Queen's Prize individual event.

Grenfell, who won gold at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Canada, is one of five shooters on 254 points going into the final day.

In a tight competition, two points separates the top 11 shooters.

Grenfell's event starts at 6.45pm (AEST) but a final result is not expected until after midnight.
