A MEDAL presented to a South Bendigo Football Club player after the Bloods grand final victory 89 years ago is up for auction.
The medal, crafted in the shape of a football, was awarded to M. McGregor.
South's seniors premiership in 1925 was the 13th in club history.
It would be another 25 years until the Bloods won their 14th senior grand final in the Bendigo Football League.
Five premierships in the 50s and four in the early 90s were the greatest eras in South's run to a tally of 24 premiership wins.
The 1925 medal is lot 473 for the auction by Mossgreen of Armadale on August 5.
