Mana Lumm was last seen at the facility, where he was jailed for a sexual-related offence, about 12.30am.
Police have searched the immediate area but Lumm is yet to be located.
The 20-year-old is Caucasian, about 175cm tall with a solid build, brown eyes and brown hair.
Anyone who sees Mana Lumm is urged not to approach him and to phone triple-0 (000) if he is sighted.
