Just days after capturing his first Commonwealth medal in the 4000m teams pursuit, O'Shea will be aiming to figure in the sprints, or breakaway on Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
Australia will be represented by O'Shea, Jack Bobridge and Miles Scotson in the points score, which begins with qualifying and then a final.
Bobridge has made an incredible return to track racing.
The South Australian joined forces with O'Shea, Luke Davison and Alex Edmondson to win the 4000m teams pursuit in a Games record time.
On Friday, Bobridge won his second gold of the Games as he took out the 4000m individual pursuit as Edmondson claimed silver.
The points score will be Scotson's first event in Glasgow.
Earlier this year he won gold in the teams pursuit at the world championships in Cali, Colombia.
A great year included winning the Australian Madison title with Mandurang's George Tansley and then being runner-up in the Bendigo International Madison won by Bendigo's Sam Crome and Dutchman Roy Pieters.
A superb track record for O'Shea includes back-to-back Bendigo International Madison wins with Leigh Howard in 2008 and '09.
His campaign in Glasgow may include the scratch race.
O'Shea is one of the best all-round track cyclists in the world. He is a mutlple world champion in teams pursuit and won the omnium final at the 2012 world titles in Melbourne.
He is the only athlete to be a three-time winner of the Bendigo Advertiser-Prime 7 Sports Star of the Year, which is in its 50th year and is proudly sponsored by Bendigo Bank.
