THE Lockington-Bamawm United Cats will be aiming to end North Bendigo’s run in Saturday’s A-grade match in the 16th round of the Heathcote District Football Netball League season.

LBU has home-court advantage at Norlec Oval for this clash with the red, white and blue.

The Cats face a huge challenge against a team that has won 13 consecutive matches.

The Huntly Hawks could soar above Elmore by winning their match on the Bloods’ court.

Other matches will be Heathcote against White Hills at Prendergast Oval in Barrack Reserve, and Leitchville-Gunbower plays  the Mount Pleasant Blues.

The match of the round in the Loddon Valley competition will be at Backhaus Oval where the second-placed YCW plays the fourth-placed Newbridge.

The Eagles will be aiming to capitalise on home-court advantage in Golden Square to take the points against the Maroons.

Mitiamo will be wary against a Bridgewater line-up fighting to hold its place in the top five.

The Superoos will start favourite against a team that is just four points in front of Pyramid Hill on the ladder.

Pyramid Hill should be able to keep the heat on Bridgewater by winning its match against Bears Lagoon-Serpentine at Mitchell Park.

The ladder-leading Calivil United heads to Marong to take on the Panthers.
