Their Victorian squad was beaten by arch rival New South Wales in the grand final of the 15-and-under carnival in Melbourne on Friday.
The Vics led by one goal at the main break, and scores were tied at 29-all mid-way through the third quarter.
But the Two Blues held a four-goal buffer at the last change and built on their advantage, eventually running out winners 46-36.
Defender Sexton and mid-courter Williams are both year nine students at Catholic College Bendigo and play for Sandhurst in local league netball.
They were selected in the state team in May and were coached by former Bendigo Football Netball League identity Kate Bird (nee Wastell).
Team Vic only dropped one other match throughout the tournament - also to NSW during preliminary rounds.
They won through to the gold medal play-off with a convincing 55-33 victory over Queensland on Thursday.
Williams suffered an ankle injury early in the carnival, affecting her court time.
Victoria finished third at the championships in 2013.
