Later this week Hamilton will be bound for another overseas trek to race in World Cup rounds and then the world mountain bike championships in Norway.
It will be his second world MTB titles after racing in South Africa last year.
On that occasion he endured the high of racing and the low of an early finish because of mechanical failure.
Although bitterly disappointed his duel in the under-19s ended early, Hamilton focused on what's next, not what was.
It's an attitude that has earned yet another chance to wear the green and gold.
This time the challenge will be just as, if not more daunting as the 19-year-old moves up to the under-23 class.
Hamilton's team-mates bound for Norway include two more Bendigo MTB stars, Peta Mullens in cross-country, and Lachlan Sens to compete in observe trials.
This talented trio has put in plenty of hard work to be up against the world's best and add to Bendigo's proud sporting history.
