THE fourth day of Bendigo mother Jayde Poole's manslaughter trial has heard from the prosecution's final witness.
Poole is charged with the manslaughter of her five-month-old daughter Bella, who died after being left in a hot car for two hours in December 2012.
The Supreme Court today heard from Bendigo police officer and Poole's cousin Senior Constable Rachel Colliver.
She told the court she was working at Bendigo police station the night Bella died and heard the report of an incident at her cousin's home on the police radio.
Senior Constable Colliver said when she arrived at the house she could hear Poole screaming.
"(She was) very distressed, screaming, uncontrollable," she said.
"She was asking me, 'What have I done, Rachel, what have I done?'. Very, very upset."
She told the court she tried to calm Poole down before leaving the house to get some fresh air and to try and calm herself down.
Senior Constable Colliver was the final witness in the Crown's case against Poole.
Justice Bernard Bongiorno adjourned the trial until Wednesday, when the defence case is expected to begin.
