“I really do like talking to people and finding out about them,” she said.
Bev greets visitors to the gallery and offers them any information they need on the exhibitions or other attractions around town.
Bev started volunteering at the Post Office Gallery three years ago.
“I was interested in something that was a bit different,” she said.
“The exhibitions they have there are varied and always excellent.
“You get to meet all the people coming through from arounds Australia and overseas.”
Bev said she enjoyed exhibitions that are have a historical base.
“The next exhibition is the history of Bendigo’s law and order,” she said.
“I really enjoyed the Bendigo Way We Were exhibtion."
The exhbition asked people from Bendigo to bring in an item from their childhood.
“It was really interesting and brought Bendigo people together on a more personal basis,” Bev said.
Bev also volunteers in the emergency department of Bendigo Health where she helps families who come in.
