AT FIRST there were 32 readers hoping to claim a five-night accommodation package on the Gold Coast in the Bendigo Advertiser's World Cup Sweep.

Now just two remain.

Katie Brown will proudly support Argentina.

Claire Barrow will side with World Cup favourite Germany.

Only one will claim the Gold Coast package and $200 to go toward airfares when Argentina and Germany decide the World Cup final from 5am on Monday Australian time.

Ms Brown said her family had fingers crossed Argentina would prevail in the final.

''I'm very excited, as are my three children, especially my two boys as they are mad supporters of the World Cup,'' she said.

The World Cup Sweep winner will enjoy a five-night accommodation package at the Grande Florida beachside resort on the Gold Coast.

The resort boasts four-star apartments featuring an ensuite bathroom, laundry and fully-equipped kitchen.

Many of the apartments have a view to the lush tropical gardens which then look through to one of two lagoon pools.

The resort is only a short stroll from the famous Gold Coast beach which is patrolled daily by lifeguards.

Good luck Katie and Claire!
