"The world has treated me well, so I like to give back," she said.
Ms Ramselaar is stationed at the reception desk at St John of God Hospital in Bendigo every Friday.
Her job is to guide visitors around the hospital, and as she confesses herself, it can be a tricky labyrinth to navigate.
"I am quite busy because visitors can sometimes lose their way," she said.
"That's why i'm here to help."
Ms Ramselaar also takes holy communion for the patients every second Friday.
"Volunteering makes you feel like you're doing something worthwhile."
Ms Ramselaar enjoys her volunteering as she gets to meet new people everyday, and make visitors of the hospital feel more at ease.
She recommends volunteering to other people.
