The two teams will take to the pitch in honour of the Epsom Soccer Club legend, who passed away from cancer, September last year.
Kevin’s daughter Emily said the game, which aims to raise cancer awareness, was one she encouraged people from across Bendigo to attend.
“The coach of Strathdale, Stuart Gough, approached my mum and I, saying he would be interested in playing a game in his honour,” she said.
“He had mentioned it to us before he passed away.
“We told Dad and he felt so honoured.”
Emily said the game between the two teams will play-off for the memorial trophy every year.
“It shows that people still remember him,” she said.
“He meant a lot not just to our family but to others.
“He has been the only coach at Epsom to win numerous titles with the seniors.”
The Epsom, Strathdale seniors game will be played at Epsom Hunlty Recreation Reserve at 6.30pm on Saturday.
