Barnes has announced a special A Day On The Green national tour to celebrate his 30th anniversary as a solo artist.
The tour coincides with the release of a 30/30 Anniversary album featuring re-recordings of his 15 biggest hits as collaborations with some of his favourite artists including Keith Urban, John Farnham, Bernard Fanning, Journey, Little Steven Van Zandt, Shihad, Tina Arena, Baby Animals and Jon Stevens.
The Living End, who feature on the album’s first single - a blistering new version of Lay Down Your Guns, will be special guests on all shows along with Ian Moss, Troy Cassar-Daley, Mahalia Barnes and the Soulmates.
Part of the show will feature the Jimmy Barnes Greatest Hits Spinning Wheel where fans will be invited onstage to spin the wheel to decide which of 30 hits the band will then perform.
The tour will include the debut of Mitchelton Wines at Nagambie as A Day On The Green venue on December 13.

The 30th anniversary tour album will be released on August 29.
“This year is so important for me, so I wanted this tour handled by people who love music and who care about the tour and a day on the green do it the best,” Barnes said.
“They run it really well and they know how to look after an audience. I’ve done a lot of them over the years and Cold Chisel has done them too. It’s such a great way to get to play to the public.
“Also I’m so excited about working with The Living End because they’re just so bloody good. They’re so ferocious as a band. They’re friends, they’re not really a support act – it’s a bill to make it the best show. So I’m going to have to work really hard, and I love that. We’re going to have a great time.”
A Day On The Green concert tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster.
A Day On The Green promoters Roundhouse Entertainment has been working with the Ryan family, who acquired the Mitchelton Wines property in 2011, for many months.
A major criterion for wineries hosting A Day On The Green is a spectacular location and Mitchelton Wines certainly has that.
An easy 90-minute drive north of Melbourne, the concert site overlooks the Goulburn River and surrounding bushland.
Mitchelton’s winery and spectacular cellar door complex, designed by renowned Australian architect Robin Boyd and complete with 55 metre tower, was officially opened in 1973 and in the years since, Mitchelton has developed a reputation for consistently high quality table wines.
The Ryan family are keen to redevelop the vineyard to an iconic food, wine and hospitality destination – highlighted now with the addition of A Day On The Green events.
“Despite many enquiries, it’s not very often that we add a new winery to the a day on the green calendar. We have very high standards of what is required in a location for our shows and without question, Mitchelton Wines delivers on all fronts,'' Roundhouse Entertainment director Michael Newton said.
“Nagambie and surrounds is a beautiful environment, with a burgeoning wine and food industry producing quality product. We have visited the area several times and feel it is a perfect home for our event. We look forward to spending more time with the local community and presenting our first concert in November.”
Mitchelton Wines managing director Andrew Ryan said the family was excited to work with the A Day On The Green team.
''They have a great reputation for hosting world renowned acts and giving concert goers an amazing experience. We are looking forward to having thisiconic event at our iconic winery,” he said.
