THE Daylesford Folk Blues Festival will not continue from this year due to lack of funding.
Organiser Vanessa Craven said she had thrown everything behind the festival, but was unable to make it financially sustainable.
In the past, the festival had been a recipient of a community grant, but organisers were unable to secure the grant this year.
The festival has been held for four years, and lured names including Lloyd Spiegel, Cyndi Boast and Liz Frencham.
Ms Craven said she hoped to run a charity concert on the same date, taking the financial pressures off funding a festival out of her own pocket.
"There was a bit of a folk and blues gap, so we tried to fill that. Maybe one of the other festivals will pick that up now," she said.
