After a rear tyre of the vehicle blew out the campervan travelled out of control for more than 100 metres in the direction of oncoming traffic.
She was travelling south on the Midland Hwy from Echuca to Bendigo.
The highway was closed for two hours as CFA cleared the leaking fuel.
Leading Senior Constable Sherger said she was lucky there was only minor traffic coming from the north.
He said it was important given the road toll the way it is for people to be reminded their tyres need to be of a roadworthy state.
UPDATE 4.30pm: A woman in her twenties was taken to Bendigo Health for observation.
Midland Hwy is no longer closed.
UPDATE 3.45pm: A female driver has suffered minor injuries while travelling with her two dogs.
Traffic is being diverted on to Lanmore Road.
Emergency services are on scene.
UPDATE 3.35pm: Ambulance Victoria and CFA are attending a serious road accident on the Midland Highway.
A campervan has rolled into a ditch blocking the road to traffic.
EARLIER: Emergency services have been called to a road rescue on the Midland Highway near Goornong.
CFA spokesperson Andrea Mason said two trucks are on scene.
The road has been blocked as the van is upside down with fuel leaking.
Road closed 2km south of Bendigo-Murchison Rd due to a vehicle collision.
Victoria Police are on site.
Drivers travelling through the area are advised to avoid the area.
