EPA north-west region manager Shaun Burke said the incident was identified on May 23, 2013.
"Industrial waste had been deposited at a premises which was not EPA licensed or permitted to accept such waste," Mr Burke said.
"There is a current clean-up notice in place for Ashcorp Holdings which stipulates that no more new industrial waste is to be deposited at the site and that the existing waste be removed by September 30, 2014."
The EPA will investigate any future breaches, which could result in further sanctions being issued.
Ashcorp Holdings, which owns Ashworth Demolition and Asbestos Removal, declined to comment.
