Golden Square duo Jonathon Coe and Jack Geary were selected in the 26-player squad.
Gisborne ruckman Tom Waters and Eaglehawk's Brodie Filo have also been named in the WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country team.
The quartet have earned selection in the team after strong performances in the Bendigo's inter-league win over Gippsland in May.
Rochester footballer Brendon Hollow was also named in the team.
In total, two players were selected from Ballarat, four from Bendigo, six from Geelong, seven from Goulburn Valley, one from Hampden, three from the Ovens and Murray league and three from the Peninsula region.
The best country footballers will take on a combined team of Melbourne's most talented premier community leagues.
The country side has trained for the past month in Melbourne.
Coach Peter Knights said the sessions were more about bonding rather than learning a game plan.
"When the players have all driven upwards of three hours to be there and usually played a game the day before, it’s no use getting them to focus on game plans and that sort of thing,” he said.
“It’s about getting to know each other developing some camaraderie.”
The team's leadership group, including the captain and vice captain will be announced after a training session on Wednesday night.
Two players from the squad of 26 will become emergencies for the game.
Vic Country players will then meet in Geelong on Friday to prepare for Saturday's clash.
The Metro versus Country game will be played on Saturday at Simonds Stadium at 4pm.
