The result was a bitter pill to swallow for former Sandhurst defender Chloe Watson - her City West Falcons squad were undefeated in the championship division until Wednesday's decider.
But the Southern Saints came out firing to score an upset 48-42 win.
The 19-and-under division grand final went right down to the wire, with Monash Uni Storm defeating City West Falcons by just two goals.
Sandhurst mid-courter Brooke Bolton played in centre for the runners-up.
