The 23-year-old Western Bulldogs forward will make his long awaited debut against Geelong after impressing senior coach Brendan McCartney.
Redpath has been pressing for senior selection over the past few weeks, booting 17 goals in his past five VFL games.
He was selected at pick 62 in the 2011 rookie draft.
"He was tracking really well as a young player, and has overcome a couple of knee reconstructions," McCartney said at Whitten Oval on Thursday.
"We've had him here for two or three years, and he's been able to really develop in our VFL team."
McCartney hoped Redpath would bring some intensity into the forward line.
"We were out-marked way too much in our forward half last week and we're hopeful Jack will help that area for us," he said.
His selection comes after Western Bulldogs fans were crying out for the talented player to get game.
A Facebook page 'Give Jack Redpath a game', was created.
