Young tennis aces ready to play on Gold Coast

 A GROUP of 22 young tennis aces from central Victoria will be racking up the volleys, lobs, smashes and more at next week's training camp on the Gold Coast.

The camp will run from July 6 to 11 at Queens Park Tennis Club.

Bendigo Tennis Association resident professional coach Stephen Storer will again lead the annual pilgrimage for the BTA squad.

Training on the coast will be under the watchful eye of Tennis Plus’ Master Club Pro John Birrell,

"Each day the students will spend four or five hours training and developing their skills on court," Storer said.

"They will also do off court fitness development, mental training and nutritional sessions."

The travelling squad includes  Tayla Hayton, Polly Barnett, Matilda Walsh, Matilda Freckleton, Brianna Smith, Jacqui Hall, Clayton Scott, Hugh Miller, Fraser Sait, Jordy Hicks, Marcus MacDougall, Jack Armstrong, Harry Everist, Emily Holgate, James Holgate, Jack Cripps, Hannah Martin, Amy Ellis, Emily Ellis, Jeremy Abel, Jordan Andrews and Adelaide Annand.
