THE Lions faced a five-goal deficit at half-time, but fought back strongly in the second half of the curtain-raiser to the AFL clash between Collingwood and Carlton.
A powerful Hawks' midfield and attack had all the answers to the Lions pressure as they led 38-8 by half-time.
