Since 2009: Eaglehawk 7; Strathfieldsaye 5.

Seven wins on the trot now for the Storm following their 39-point victory over Golden Square a fortnight ago.

The Hawks sit fifth on the ladder, but are still to beat any side currently above them - of which Strathfieldsaye is one.

KANGAROO FLAT V CASTLEMAINE - 2.20pm Saturday at Kangaroo Flat.

Last time: Round 2, 2014: Kangaroo Flat 16.14 (110) d Castlemaine 11.9 (75).

Since 1995: Castlemaine 21; Kangaroo Flat 20; Drawn 1.

Both sides are coming off losses last week.

The Roos were upstaged by Maryborough by 25 points to fall to sixth position, while the Magpies copped their fifth loss of the season by more than 100 points from Gisborne.

GISBORNE V MARYBOROUGH - 2.20pm Saturday at Gisborne.

Last time: Round 2, 2014: Gisborne 16.12 (108) d Maryborough 12.14 (86).

Since 2000: Gisborne 24; Maryborough 5.

The Bulldogs ended a three-game losing streak last week with a 109-point demolition of Castlemaine.

They now host a rejuvenated Maryborough side that has won two games in a row against Kyneton and Kangaroo Flat.

KYNETON V SANDHURST - 2.20pm Saturday at Kyneton.

Last time: Round 2, 2014: Sandhurst 18.18 (126) d Kyneton 9.7 (61).

Since 1995: Sandhurst 31; Kyneton 8; Drawn 1.

The Tigers’ finals chances are still hanging in there, despite dropping their past two games to Eaglehawk and Maryborough.

They will need to be at their best if they are to provide a challenge to undefeated Sandhurst.

SOUTH BENDIGO V GOLDEN SQUARE - 2.20pm Saturday at QEO.

Last time: Round 2, 2014: Golden Square 12.9 (81) d South Bendigo 12.8 (80).

Since 1995: Golden Square 26; South Bendigo 24.

Life’s tough when you’re struggling - just ask bottom side South Bendigo.

The Bloods have been belted by pace-setters Sandhurst (124) and Strathfieldsaye (99) the past two games and now cop the defending premiers.
