LIGHTNING Reef Primary School students are aspiring to become doctors, builders, vets and hairdressers.
For the past six months, grade 5 and 6 students have been participating in Passions and Pathways - a program which gives students the chance learn about different occupations.
"It's a great way to motivate kids to stay at school and know there are some great opportunities out there," grade 6 teacher Kellie Parsons said.
"I have seen a change in attitude, a change in maturity and a change in desire."
Student Isaiah Larson said as part of the project he helped build a cubby house, cementing his desire to become a carpenter.
"I loved it," he said.
