Unfortunately we greet you with some bad news this morning.
The Calder Freeway is expected to be blocked near Melbourne for several hours after a pedestrian died at Keilor North this morning.
Investigators have been told the man was walking on the outbound lanes of the Calder Freeway when he was struck by a truck just after 5am.
Paramedics attempted to revive the man but he died at the scene.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

A tree has fallen on the track, causing disruptions on the Bendigo line.
DELAY: 6.32am Bendigo to Southern Cross service is delayed by about 17 minutes.
CANCELLED: 7.09am Southern Cross - Bendigo train has been replaced by road coaches.

Ambulance Victoria says a man in his 40s was taken to hospital in a stable condition, complaining of back and abdominal soreness, after his car hit a pole in Kangaroo Flat last night.
A seven-year-old boy has died after getting lost in the snow on Mount Buller, in Victoria’s north-east. Patrick Hatch reports that Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said emergency crews were called just before 6pm last night after the boy was found unconscious in snow near a chalet. He was in cardiac arrest and was taken to a nearby medical centre, where he died, Mr Mullen said.
