THE 1989 Bendigo Football Netball League inter-league team is set to be invited to the league's Hall of Fame celebrations.
The winning team will be encouraged to take part in the annual event, 25 years on from their successful inter-league campaign.
“It is exciting to recognise a cross-section of greats that have helped to shape the BFNL over a long period of time," AFL Central Victoria regional operations manager Justin Abrams said.
"It is a fantastic initiative and an exciting event."
It will the fourth time the league will induct some of the great players that have competed or who have helped shape the BFNL in a range of off-field roles.
Abrams said a maximum of 15 people will be inducted and will be recognised for their outstanding service to their clubs and the BFNL.
The Hall of Fame will be celebrated on October 24 at the Bendigo Club.
Anyone is welcome to attend the night.
