Gridiron Vic Bowl to be played in Bendigo

BENDIGO has won the right to host another major sporting event.

It was announced on Friday that the Gridiron Victoria Vic Bowl will be played at the Tom Flood Sports Centre on Saturday, August 30.

The Vic Bowl is Gridiron Victoria's equivalent of the NFL's Superbowl.

The two best teams from Gridiron Victoria's 14-club competition will battle for the Vic Bowl.

The Vic Bowl announcement follows on from Bendigo being awarded the hosting rights to the Australia versus England netball Test match on October 19 and the WNBL pre-season tournament from October 10-12.

More details to follow.
