Walker a guest on Marngrook

A TOP two draftee from the Bendigo Bank Pioneers, Carlton defender Andrew Walker is a guest on Thursday night's 200th Marngrook Footy Show on NITV.

Football identities such as Mike Sheahan, Derek Kickett and Rex Hunt will join in the celebrations on Channel 34 from 7.30pm.

Now in his 11th season in the AFL, Walker has played 175 matches for the Blues.

He was taken at No.2 in the 2003 AFL national draft.

BULLDOGS MEET

Golden Square Cricket and Sports Club's annual general meeting and planning day will be held on Sunday, July 6 from 11am at the National Hotel in High Street, Bendigo.

MIXED RUN FOR FC

FC Bendigo's junior teams had a mixed day in Sunday's soccer clashes with Whittlsea Rangers.

The under-18s won 4-1. Goalscorers were E. Soe 2, G. Basha, S. Scoble.

The under-16s were beaten 2-3. S. Ndikuma and B. Kunoo were on target. The Foundry Hotel Player of the Week award went to M. Ryan.

The under-15s drew 1-1. A. Dwyer struck Bendigo's goal.

The under-14s went down 6-0. Player of the Week was M. Broughton.

Bendigo scored a 2-1 victory in the under-13s. Goals were struck by B. Urbanick and H. Chester. Player of the Week was B. Urbaniak.

The under-12 match ended in a 2-0 win for Whittlesea. Foundry Hotel Player of the Week was D. McRostie.
