1857 This picture taken by Alexander Fox wins the oldest photo submitted in our Way We Were competition. It is taken looking from Forest Street (roughly where the Uniting Church now stands) looking towards Pall Mall. The long building you can see with all the light wells is the Beehive building which has just had an extension through to Hargreaves Street added. If you look further up Pall Mall you will see the first Shamrock Hotel which has just recently had the second storey Concert Hall added.
