Mrs Anthony first decided to volunteer as a tour guide at the art gallery 15 years ago when she retired.
It was a natural way for her to continue being engaged with the community as she had previously worked at the gallery as an education officer.
The gallery has changed a lot since Mrs Anthony began working there.
“The collection was much smaller then,” she said.
“It has expanded drastically and the facilities are so much better.”
Mrs Anthony’s in depth knowledge of the gallery’s collection and her opportunity to talk with the friendly people who go on tours are some of things she has most enjoyed about volunteering.
Mrs Anthony runs tours of the permanent collection at the gallery once a month, though it isn't uncommon for her to do extra work when there are specialist groups or big exhibitions like the recent Genius and Ambition.
“It’s good fun and it keeps you busy” she said.
