YCW coach Christie Grifiths said after struggling with consistency in the early part of the season, her team was now ready to attack the second half of the season.

The Eagles sit in second spot on the A-grade Loddon Valley Netball League ladder, just two points below Calivil United.

"I am happier now than I was at the start of the season," Griffiths said.

"Our team is much more settled."

After having a bye last round, YCW will be back in action against Mitiamo on Saturday.

"They are a strong team, so it should be a good game."

The Roos sit in third position on the ladder, two points below YCW.

Only six points separate the top four teams on the ladder,

Griffiths said the aim for the team from now until the end of the season was to finish in the top two.

"It has taken a while for us to get our combinations right," she said.

"We are working really hard so hopefully we can go to the next level."

In other round nine games, Calivil United will host Bridgewater, Marong and Newbridge will do battle and Pyramid Hill will play Inglewood.

Bears-Lagoon Serpentine has the bye.
