Eight classy athletes from Bendigo will be bound for Scotland.
A star-studded cycling team includes mountain bike competitor Peta Mullens, pictured, and track world champion Glenn O'Shea.
Selection caps thousands of hours training and travelling to pursue their sporting dreams and inspire athletes of all ages
They join hammer thrower Tim Driesen; badminton aces Jeff Tho and Glenn Warfe; clay target shooter Emma Cox; full-bore rifle shooter Geoff Grenfell; and gun netballer Caitlin Thwaites in Australia's team for the Games.
The Diamonds to take to the netball court include Kerang's Julie Corletto.
Selection for all these athletes caps thousands of hours training and travelling.
Cox, Mullens, O'Shea and Thwaites are bound for their first Commonwealth Games.
Grenfell's selection is a remarkable feat. Two decades ago he won gold in the pairs event at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada and is now aiming at a third campaign.
The top shot is an inspiration to many, just as all our representatives will be when the Games begin in 42 days in Scotland.
