Several of students from the school visit Bendigo Health's Golden Oaks Nursing Home residents to provide entertainment and company.
Students Jarnae Peautagitama and Chantal Hansford volunteered to spend their time at the nursing home to learn more and gain experience with the elderly.
"It has been a really rewarding experience for us to spend time with the residents," the two students said.
"We get to play card games and indoor lawn bowls with them.
"Many of the residents have a wealth of knowledge and stories to share which can be quite amazing."
The home's nurse manager Sandi Lavin said the girls spent their time talking and playing games with the residents, helping them to stay active and healthy.
The program will run until the end of the school year.
