The exhibition opens at the Bendigo Art Gallery on August 2 and features more than 100 treasures from the British Museum’s world famous Greek and Roman collection.
The Body Beautiful in Ancient Greece has toured venues in Europe, Asia and the Americas and is celebrated as "a visually stunning and thought-provoking exploration of the human form seen through Ancient Greek eyes".
Bendigo Art Gallery director Karen Quinlan anticipates the driving force behind the exhibition will be Discobolus, the discus thrower.
The exhibition features a Roman copy of the famous Greek sculpture made by Myron in 5th century BC.
"He will certainly bring the people in," she said.
Tickets are also on sale for Undressed: 350 years of underwear in fashion from the Victoria and Albert Museum, London which opens next month.
"The Undressed exhibition will certainly bring back our fashion audience that we've built," Ms Quinlan said.
"So we're building audiences all the time and that's what it's about for me.
"Different exhibitions attract different people and we just want to build our audiences.
"So having two side by side is going to be interesting."
Meanwhile, the Bendigo Art Gallery has named the Arts Series Hotel Group as its official hotel partner.
The Schaller Studio opened in Bendigo last month.
