A RUN in the final minutes clinched a dramatic victory for Scots in the A-grade baseball clash with Falcons.

Wet diamonds meant most of the Bendigo Baseball Association's senior and junior matches were called off.

After a 45-minute delay, Scots and Falcons began their duel at Eaglehawk's Albert Roy Reserve.

Falcons jumped to a three-run lead in the first inning.

Scots scored in the third after hits by son and father Aaron and John Petri.

The son-father combination of Lachlan and Kenan Jack got on base in the fourth inning. Lachlan led off with his second walk, before Kenan singled to right field.

Tigh Coates followed up with a hit for Lachlan Jack to cross home plate, before an infield hit by Aaron Petri put Kenan home to tie the game.

Sean Meldrum drew a two out walk before Berin Marchesani hit the winning run.
