Heathcote and District's star Tim Hill and North Central Football League's Rohan McHugh were selected in the 44-person team that will compete against a representative team from the Victorian Amateur Football Association's Premier B to Division 4 competitions next month.
The game coincides with the AFL Victoria Community Cup between AFL Victoria Country and a team from Melbourne's six premier senior competitions.
Hill, who is in hist first year with Mount Pleasant, captained the HDFL's inter-league team to a win against Horsham.
McHugh won the Des Darcy Medal for best on ground in Wedderburn's premiership last year.
The squad will be cut to 24 players before the game next month.
Coach John Cossar said picking the initial training squad was difficult.
“We started with more than 70 names to consider and to pick a 44-man squad means a lot of quality players have unfortunately missed selection," he said.
The squad is set to train together at Harry Trott Oval in Melbourne on June 15 and 29 and July 6.
The game will be played at Western Oval in Geelong on July 12.
