Victorian Farmers Federation president Peter Tuohey, who has a farm near Pyramid Hill, said he recorded 22 millimetres rainfall on Sunday.
"We've done really well," he said.
"This week's been fantastic.
"This has been the second lot of rain we've had this week so this will set all the crops and the pasture up for the winter.
"It hasn't been cold either so you would say this is as good as rain as you can get this time of year.
"I won't say no to more rain."
UPDATE, 1.15PM: People are reporting up to 52 millimetres rainfall in Maiden Gully.
People have been sharing their rainfall totals on the Bendigo Advertiser's Facebook page.
"52mm when checked about 11am Maiden Gully," Anne-Maree Bice wrote.
Amanda Miller said posted on Facebook that she recorded 51mm at Flora Hill.
UPDATE, 12.06PM: Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Terry Ryan said Bendigo had recorded 45 millimetres to 9am on Sunday.
"It's a pretty heavy fall for one day," he said.
"Because it fell 45 mills on June 1 that is the highest daily for total since the Bendigo Observation, the automatic weather station, started in 1992.
"So for June it's the highest for over 22 years, for the one day."
Other rainfall totals around the state include 32 millimetres for Shepparton and Mildura and 33 millimetres for Echuca.
"So there's falls of around that 30 millimetres mark that are pretty common up to 9am," Mr Ryan said.
"It will ease this afternoon as the low moves away and goes to eastern Victoria, it will just break up the showers there tomorrow."
