The Beavers got off to a slow start in its second round match against the Tigers at Bendigo Stadium on Tuesday night but turned it around in the second half.
The Beavers found themselves down by nine points at the first break and 13 points in the second quarter.
Heather Oliver and Chelsea Aubrey combined well for the Beavers.
The pair combined for a total of 33 points for the match.
At the final change the Tigers still led by six points but the Beavers were too strong, running away 56 to 45 winners.
Tigers star player Alex Bunton scored a game high 23 points, while teammate Kerryn Harrington chipped in with 14 points for the game.
The Celtics also took to the court for the first time this season.
Without coach Joe Turner and WNBL and SEBAL player Lauren King, the Celtics couldn't match it against the Generals.
The final score was 79 to 48.
The Generals, led by Bendigo Spirit star Gabe Richards, were in front at every change.
Richards finished the game with 20 points as did teammate Chantella Perera.
Sarah Strange was the Celtics' top scorer with 14 points.
Strathfieldsaye had the bye in round two.
There will be no Championship League games next week due to an event being held at the Bendigo Stadium.
