Mr Green's family was instrumental in establishing the Atisha Centre, a Buddhist monastery in Myers Flat, Bendigo.
He is overseeing the construction of The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, which will be the largest Buddhist monument in the Western world when completed.
he lecture, "Developing an Icon in Central Victoria" will outline the challenges and rewards involved in developing the structure and the benefits it sill bring to the community.
Mr Green has been travelling the world raising awareness about the project.
The lecture starts at 6pm.
