The three-day duel wound up on Sunday afternoon when riders contested a 50km criterium at Queen's Park in Toowoomba.
Haig went into the fifth and final stage holding a 13-second buffer to his nearest rival.
The Avanti team provided great support after Haig raced to the tour lead on Friday's climb at Bunya Mountain.
Success in Toowoomba continued Haig's great year in road racing.
Highs in 2014 include being crowned Best Young Rider in the Tour Down Under in South Australia, and the Jayco Herald-Sun Tour in Victoria.
Haig finished third outright in the Jayco-backed tour in early February.
His feats on the road earned a monthly award in the Bendigo Advertiser Sports Star of the Year, which is proudly supported by Prime 7 and Bendigo Bank.
Haig also earned the Cyril Michelsen Trust Fund award in Sports Star for 2013-14.
