Rinaldi this season joined the Roos from the Magpies and will make his inter-league debut for Bendigo against Gippsland at the Queen Elizabeth Oval on Saturday.
Rinaldi has been named centre half-forward and is among a host of first-time Bendigo representatives, including Tim Walsh, Tyler Miles, Matt Thornton, Jon Coe, Ryan Maldenis, Corey Jones, Ben Weightman, Stephen Milne, Ryan Haythorpe, Mitch Dole, Matt Smith, Nick Stagg, Tom Dowd and James Saville.
Rinaldi, 26, made the switch to Kangaroo Flat following seven seasons with the Magpies.
“Making the inter-league team this weekend gives a bit of reassurance (after switching clubs) and it’s just great to be acknowledged,” Rinaldi said this week.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Kangaroo Flat so far and meeting some new people.
“Hopefully, I can go alright on Saturday.”
Rinaldi - who has kicked 25 goals this season for the Roos - is particularly excited to be lining up in the Bendigo forward line alongside former AFL players Corey Jones and Stephen Milne.
“Playing with those two is obviously going to be a great experience, particularly to see how they go about their preparation and professionalism,” Rinaldi said.
“I saw Milney play last week when he kicked 8.8 against us and I picked up a few things on how to position my body and that type of stuff from watching him, so hopefully, I can learn a bit more on Saturday.”
